Mississippi State went outside the United States this week to add another member of the Class of 2025. On Thursday and per Eurohopes, Slovenia native and forward Sergej Macura committed to Mississippi State and is expected to enroll at Mississippi State later this summer.

The 6-foot-9 Sergej Macura has played multiple positions in his prep career thus far, including the three and the four positions. In the 2023 U19 World Cup, the 21-year-old averaged 12.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 48.7% from the field.

With Macura’s decision, he becomes the fifth member of Mississippi State’s Class of 2025. He joins guard King Grace, wing Cameren Paul, forward Jamarion Davis-Fleming and center Tee Bartlett. That group officially signed with Mississippi State and will be moving to Starkville this weekend.

The addition of Macura also leaves Mississippi State with one spot left to fill for the 2025-26 roster. That last spot is expected to be filled by a transfer forward.
