Anthony Belton will return for another season with NC State football, he announced on social media Friday afternoon. He started every game for the Wolfpack at left tackle and earned third-team All-ACC honors.

The Wolfpack’s star offensive lineman is officially returning for his redshirt senior season. He is listed on the team’s official roster as a graduate student at 6-6, 336 pounds.

Belton is the fourth returning starter for NC State going into the 2024 season, joining right tackle Jacarrius Peak, right guard Timothy McKay and left guard Anthony Carter Jr..

During his all-conference season, the graduate student played 875 total snaps— 385 as a run blocker and 489 in pass protection. He recorded an above-average 65.9 Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade overall. That metric includes a 71.5 pass blocking mark.

He allowed 2 sacks, 22 total pressures and committed 8 total penalties last fall.

This will be the tackle’s second season playing under offensive line coach Garett Tujague. He praised the Wolfpack assistant’s approach to the game before the 2023 season.

“Having a coach that is vocal like him is bringing more of a will and a want to, and it gets us ready to practice,” Belton said. “It’s hard to go out there every day in the hot sun, to want to do it. Just having a coach that matches your level of energy, it just gets you in a good mood.”

Belton spent two seasons with Georgia Military Academy as a junior college player before transferring to NC State for the final four years of his collegiate career.
