NC State basketball box score: Wolfpack 65, Bethune-Cookman 48
Led by a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds from redshirt sophomore wing Dereon Seabron, NC State basketball won 65-48 over visiting Bethune-Cookman Thursday evening in the annual Heritage Game at Reynolds Coliseum.
Neither team shot well, but the Wolfpack was able to hold the Wildcats to just 19 second-half points to pull away after leading by five points at halftime.
NC State finished just 39.3-percent shooting, but Bethune-Cookman was worse at 36.2 percent. The Wildcats were particularly ineffective on three-pointers, making only 2 of 13 attempts.

Freshman guard Terquavion Smith also reached double figures with 14 points, while senior forward Jericole Hellems added 13. Sophomore center Ebenezer Dowuona had eight points, eight rebounds and four rejections.

The Wolfpack improved to 7-2 on the season, and will play in Brooklyn, N.Y. Sunday afternoon against top-ranked Purdue. Tipoff is at 2 p.m., and the game will be broadcasted by the Big Ten Network.
