NC State commit D'Various Surratt part of Big 22 voting

The WSOC-TV channel 9 unveiled the “Big 22” players to watch for this upcoming high school football season.
The annual tradition highlights the top players in the Charlotte, N.C., area and Rock Hill, S.C., area, with this year the 16th season.
Voting for the top player will start Sept. 5, including senior free safety commit D’Various Surratt of Shelby (N.C.) Crest.

NC State has also offered threef juniors that are on the list — Charlotte (N.C.) Corvian Community defensive lineman Nate Kamba, Lincolnton (N.C.) High linebacker Jalaythan Mayfield and Denver (N.C.) East Lincoln High tight end/outside linebacker Jaxon Dollar.
The Wolfpack has offered 19 of the 22 selections. Michigan signee Jordan Young of Monroe (N.C.) High won the award for a second straight year.
