NC State women’s basketball now knows what stands between the program and another NCAA Tournament run. The ACC announced its women’s basketball conference schedule Wednesday morning, and the Wolfpack is set to play 18 regular-season league matchups spanning from Dec. 18 to Feb. 26.

After wrapping up its 11-game non-conference schedule that includes national title-contenders UConn and Iowa, NC State starts its ACC schedule hosting Clemson. A showdown at home with Duke follows the matchup with the Tigers 11 days later.

NC State starts its conference slate with four out of five games at home, making its road debut against Syracuse Jan. 1. The program plays back-to-back home games twice early in the season to start the schedule and then finishes the year with four of six games on the road.

In-state rivals Duke and North Carolina each travel to Raleigh this season, with both programs playing the Wolfpack twice during the 2022-2023 season. NC State is coming off of its third consecutive ACC title and an NCAA Tournament run that ended with a heartbreaking loss to UConn in the Elite Eight.

NC State’s 18th-annual Play4Kay game will be Monday, Feb. 6, against Virginia Tech.

“As we look ahead to this year’s ACC women’s basketball season, there is great excitement surrounding our outstanding student-athletes and programs,” ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips said in a press release. “We look forward to another year filled with highly competitive and compelling games and building upon the incredible successes that our teams have compiled in the postseason. We also appreciate our television partners that continue to be dedicated to highlighting our women’s basketball programs and will broadcast a record number of games this season.”

The Wolfpack’s non-conference schedule also includes a trip to Cancun for the 2022 Cancun Challenge. Six teams, including the Wolfpack, will travel to a resort in Cancun and compete Nov. 24-26. NC State’s matchups with Connecticut and Iowa, along with this tournament, will all take place in a 12-day stretch.

The Wolfpack will face Vanderbilt Nov. 24 and West Virginia Nov. 25. Northern Iowa, Tulane, and Central Michigan are also participating in the event.
