The Wolfpacker Podcast: Talking NC State basketball
In a surprising development for likely many, NC State basketball is the lone team from the state of North Carolina ranked in the Associated Press top 25 poll on Feb. 6, 2023, a month before the ACC Tournament begins. This is the first time since December of 1982 that the Wolfpack is rated and neither North Carolina nor Duke is in there.

Will the good times last?
NC State fans will not have to wait long to find out. The Wolfpack squad, ranked No. 22 in the AP poll, travels to No. 8 Virginia, the top-rated team in the ACC.
The Pack has won two in a row in Charlottesville and 3 of 4 in the series against Virginia, the 2019 NCAA national champions. During that 2019 campaign, NC State took that Cavaliers squad to overtime before falling in a game that could have reversed the Pack’s bubble fortunes later that March.
