Newsstand: Inside Lacrosse honors six Notre Dame players on All-America lists

Notre Dame had 6 representatives on this year’s Inside Lacrosse All-America teams (including honorable mentions). Only four schools — Syracuse (8), Princeton (8) and Cornell (7) — had more honorees. Army, Maryland, and Duke tied the Fighting Irish with half a dozen.
The Irish award winners were sophomore defenseman Shawn Lyght on the first team, senior attackman Chris Kavanagh, senior midfielder Ben Ramsey and junior midfielder Will Donovan on the second team and senior midfielder Will Angrick and senior face off specialist Will Lynch as honorable mentions.
Notre Dame defeated No. 4 seed Ohio State, 15-6, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament this past Sunday. The Irish are seeking a third consecutive national championship and need just three more wins to get it.

Fighting Irish quote of the day
“When I first visited there, I felt a different vibe about the campus. you’ve been there, you know what I’m talking about. It’s a different place — the prestige and they’re a great football team as well as an awesome school academically. You can’t find that at such a high level in many other places than Notre Dame.”
