Monday was a busy day in the world of recruiting rankings. The 2024 On300 refreshed, and the formula for the On3 ranking that weighs all four major services was overhauled. Notre Dame’s placement in the team standings, though, did not change.

The Irish kept hold of the No. 5 class in the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings after Monday’s tweaks. Their eight-man class has produced a team score of 92.939, which is fifth behind No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Alabama, No. 3 Ohio State and No. 4 Florida. Florida State is the first team behind Notre Dame.

The On3 Team Rankings are computed using the On3 Industry Ranking, which replaced the On3 Consensus Monday. The consensus weighed all four major recruiting services equally. The industry ranking puts 35 percent of the weight on On3 and 247 each, 20 percent on Rivals and 10 percent on ESPN. The shift in formula resulted in rankings changes for Notre Dame’s commits, but did not drop a star from any one player. The Irish have six four-stars and two three-stars.

The updated On300 also influenced the industry ranking release Monday. Notre Dame’s eight-man class has five three-stars and three four-stars in On3’s own rankings.
