The Notre Dame football program finalized its 2024 scholarship class about six weeks ago. Following several All-America games and a final review of film, those players’ recruiting rankings were decided on Monday following On3 and ESPN’s rankings updates. 247Sports and Rivals released their updated rankings on Jan. 22.

On Monday, Blue & Gold explained how Notre Dame’s enrollees and signees fared in On3’s rankings. On Tuesday, we detailed their status in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Reminder: The On3 Industry Ranking is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. The On3 Industry Ranking is the industry’s most advanced, complete and unbiased rating and ranking measurement.

The On3 Industry Ranking weights the primary recruiting media services based on past performance data and overall scouting and recruiting coverage investment. The algorithm is weighted as follows: On3 (35%), 247Sports (35%), Rivals.com (20%), and ESPN (10%).

Notre Dame’s 2024 class finishes with five players in the top 100

While the Irish did not end up with a five-star prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, they secured four top 100 players.

Offensive tackle Guerby Lambert from West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial claims the No. 1 spot for Notre Dame in the 2024 cycle at No. 42 overall. Although On3 recognized him as a five-star, ESPN’s rankings dropped him three points overall. The 6-foot-6, 290-pounder remained the No. 4 offensive tackle and No. 1 player in Massachusetts.
