Five 2025 Notre Dame targets that earned elite status in On3’s initial player rankings

On Monday, On3 unveiled its initial 2025 player rankings, featuring many of Notre Dame’s top high school sophomore recruiting targets. Although it’s still quite early in the 2025 recruiting cycle, a few highly-ranked recruits have given early attention to the Fighting Irish.
Of the 95 recruits in 2025 that have reported Notre Dame scholarship offers, Blue & Gold selected five recruits that earned elite status as top 32 players in On3 in the initial player rankings.
Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin WR Jaime Ffrench
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Jaime Ffrench checked in as the No. 15 overall player, No. 3 wide receiver and No. 4 player in Florida. He is coming off a sophomore season in which he caught 44 passes for 671 yards and five touchdowns in five games.
Ffrench and his teammate from Mandarin High, 2024 four-star cornerback Jon Mitchell, visited Notre Dame for the first time last weekend. The Irish offered him a scholarship on Dec. 28.
Florida State, LSU, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Georgia, Miami (Fla.), Pittsburgh, Michigan, Penn State, Alabama, Florida and Central Florida have each offered and hosted Ffrench on unofficial college recruiting visits.
Nashville Brentwood Academy QB George MacIntyre
The 6-foot-5, 180-pound George MacIntyre is the highest-ranked Notre Dame quarterback target, according to On3. He is slotted as the No. 16 overall player, No. 3 quarterback and No. 1 player in Tennessee.
Last season, MacIntyre completed 175-270 (64.8%) passes for 2,341 yards, 19 touchdowns and four interceptions in 12 games.
The Irish offered MacIntyre — and 64 other high school sophomore recruits — during its 2025-focused Pot of Gold Day recruiting event on March 17. Vanderbilt, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and others have offered and hosted him on unofficial visits. MacIntyre is looking to get to South Bend for a visit this spring.
Monroe (N.C.) High SAF Jordan Young
On3 ranked 6-foot, 170-pound Jordan Young as the No. 16 overall player, No. 1 athlete and No. 2 player in North Carolina. He had a standout sophomore season in which he registered 41 tackles (36 solo), eight interceptions, three pass breakups and two blocked punts.
Though the Irish offered the exceptional athlete as a safety on Pot of Gold Day, Young also thrived on offense. He caught 52 passes for 1,010 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei LB Nasir Wyatt
The 6-3, 205-pound Nasir Wyatt is ranked as the No. 20 overall player, No. 2 linebacker and No. 5 player in California. He had 47 tackles (37 solo), 27.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, six pass breakups, four quarterback hurries and three caused fumbles in 13 games last season.
Notre Dame expected to host Wyatt on an unofficial visit last Sunday. The Irish are battling Southern California, Oklahoma and Georgia, who have offered and hosted him on an unofficial visit. Wyatt was a Pot of Gold Day offer.
Lexington (Ky.) Christian Academy QB Cutter Boley
On3 ranked the 6-5, 200-pound Cutter Boley as the No. 30 overall player, No. 3 quarterback and No. 1 player in Kentucky. Last season, Boley completed 254-400 (63.5%) passes for 3,901 yards, 36 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 13 games.
Boley traveled to Notre Dame for the second time last weekend. He previously participated in last year’s Irish Invasion camp on June 5. The Irish offered him on Pot of Gold Day.
Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Purdue, Penn State, Ole Miss, Alabama, West Virginia and Miami (Fla.) are among the other teams that have offered Boley and hosted him on unofficial visits.
