Newsstand: No. 10 Notre Dame a heavy-favorite to beat Florida State on Saturday
Vegas oddsmakers predict that No. 10 Notre Dame will easily handle Florida State when the Seminoles come to South Bend on Saturday.
Circa Sports released their opening lines for Week 11 of College Football season on Sunday. It lists the Fighting Irish as a 25-point favorite over the Seminoles. The over/under total is 41½ points.
The Irish have been exceptional against the spread this season, posting a 6-2 record, including four straight wins. Florida State has been just the opposite, going 3-6 in its nine games.
The Seminoles have also failed to eclipse the points total in all but one game, a 42-16 loss to SMU. The “over” has hit in Notre Dame games four times this season, including three of the last four.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET. NBC will have television coverage.

Notre Dame Quote of the Weekend
“Since Day 1 since he’s got here, he’s been one of the best I’ve been around. I put him above and beyond anyone that I’ve been around.
“Just his work ethic, his demeanor, the positivity, the way he can pick someone up, the leadership, the way that he makes people around him better, is unmatched. That’s what you look for in a quarterback. He’s the best to do it.”
— Brunswick School coach Wayne McGillicuddy on Hebert. The three-star recruit transferred from Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic to Brunswick School for his senior season.
