Notre Dame’s Sept. 27 matchup at Arkansas will kick off at noon ET (11 a.m. local time), the Razorbacks announced on social media Wednesday afternoon. It will be nationally broadcast on ABC.

The Irish are likely relieved to avoid a fifth prime-time game and third among their first four matchups. Fourth-year head coach Marcus Freeman‘s group opens the season with back-to-back night games at Miami and at home against Texas A&M, albeit with a bye week in between.

With the announcement of the Arkansas game start time, only three more of Notre Dame’s matchups in 2025 have “Time TBA” written next to them: Nov. 1 at Boston College, Nov. 15 at Pittsburgh and Nov. 29 at Stanford. The ACC will likely reveal those kickoff times two weeks before they happen.

Notre Dame had one noon ET start last season, defeating Navy 51-14 at MetLife Stadium in East Meadowlands, N.J.

Notre Dame has never played Arkansas in the programs’ 130-plus-year shared history. It is one of two brand-new schools on the Fighting Irish’s 2025 schedule; the other is Boise State.

Coming off a 6-6 regular season with a Liberty Bowl win over Texas Tech, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman saved his job for at least one more year. The Razorbacks bring back dynamic quarterback Taylen Green and veteran offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino (yes, that Bobby Petrino), which is their primary source of optimism heading into 2025.

Green, standing 6-foot-6, is a dual-threat weapon who improved his consistency as a passer down the stretch in 2024. He threw for 3,154 yards and rushed for 602 in his first season behind center in Fayetteville, Ark. after transferring from Boise State.

Much of Arkansas’ roster is patched together in the transfer portal, and the Razorbacks need to hit on a lot of those additions to avoid a fifth losing season in nine years. Their schedule is brutal, with road games against Ole Miss, Memphis, Tennessee, LSU and Texas in addition to losable home games against Texas A&M, Auburn, Missouri and Notre Dame.
