Newsstand: Notre Dame adds preferred walk-on long snapper commitment to 2023 class

Notre Dame added a new commitment to its 2023 class on Monday in the form of a preferred walk-on long snapper. St. Xavier’s Andrew Kros announced his pledge to the Fighting Irish.

The 6-3, 230-pounder received his PWO offer in late June and didn’t waste much time making his decision to pick Notre Dame.

“I would like to express my gratitude to Coach Marcus Freeman, Coach Brian Mason and Coach Jesse Scmitt for allowing me the opportunity of a lifetime to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame,” Kros said as part of his commitment announcement.

Kros ranks as a five-star specialist according to ProKicker.com. He’s also played defensive end during his prep career and is a two-time first-team all district performer. Kros reports a 4.6 grade point average.
