Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy class of 2024 cornerback Kaleb Beasley will visit Notre Dame April 2, per his Twitter account.

This is great news for the Fighting Irish football program. Beasley is not only among Notre Dame’s top 2024 targets but one of the best recruits nationally for his class.

According to the On3 Consensus, Beasley, who stands at 6-0, 170, is the nation’s No. 27 overall prospect and No. 5 cornerback prospect. He’s also the No. 1 player from Tennessee.

On3’s own rankings do not have positional and national lists yet, but it ranks Beasley as a four-star prospect.

Beasley visited Notre Dame last November to watch the Irish knock off Navy 34-6. And Beasley announced on Twitter before kickoff that he received an offer from the Irish.

“We went down for the player walk, and after that, the players went to the locker room, and we went to the field,” Beasley told BlueandGold.com back in November. “Coach [Mike] Mickens came up to me and told me that they like my film and let me know that I have a scholarship from Notre Dame.”

Beasley was Notre Dame’s first class of 2024 cornerback offer. The Irish have offered two cornerback recruits since in Waco (Texas) Connally’s Kobe Black and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy’s Ellis Robinson IV.

“It was awesome,” Beasley continued regarding his Notre Dame visit. “The facilities and campus were so nice, and the coaches were all cool. The thing I liked most was that Notre Dame cares a lot about academics along with football.”

Lipscomb Academy is coached by Trent Dilfer, a former NFL quarterback who played for five teams across 14 seasons. He led the Baltimore Ravens to a Super Bowl XXXV victory in 2001.

Early look at Beasley’s RPM

Here are the leaders in Beasley’s recruitment early on, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Georgia 19.7%, NC State 19.7%, Tennessee 19.7%, Kentucky 6.7%, Notre Dame 6.7% and Vanderbilt 6.7%. Notre Dame’s RPM percentage will improve after he takes his visit to South Bend in a few weeks.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

During his sophomore season in which he helped lead Lipscomb Academy to a state championship, Beasley had 22 tackles, six interceptions (three returned for scores), one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries and 15 pass break ups.
