LOOK: Five-star QB Dante Moore arrives for Notre Dame visit

Detroit Martin Luther King’s Dante Moore, the nation’s No. 15 player and No. 4 quarterback per the 2023 On3 Consensus, made his way for his Notre Dame unofficial visit Monday afternoon.
The visit was reported by BlueandGold.com last week, and the five-star signal-caller is expected to remain in South Bend until Tuesday night.
Blue & Gold’s Ashton Pollard captured video of the major Notre Dame target arriving on campus and making his way into the football facilities, which can be seen below.

Getting Moore back on campus is huge for Notre Dame
Moore is inarguably the most important prospect for the Irish in the class, and today his first trip to South Bend since October 2. It’s his fourth visit to Notre Dame in total, with the first two occurring last summer.
It’s also a major visit because it could be Moore’s last trip to South Bend before making a decision on a college. On3’s Chad Simmons recently reported that Moore’s recruitment “could be over sooner than later.” A mid-spring commitment date is certainly not off the table, but he could stretch his recruitment into the summer and take official visits. Either way, Moore is expected to commit to a program before the start of his senior season.
Notre Dame is currently considered the leader for Moore according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) at 63.8 percent. Michigan has the second-best odds at 13.8 percent, while LSU is running third at 10.1 percent.
While having a lead percentage in an algorithm is nice, closing on Moore is the ultimate goal. And the Irish staff — led by head coach Marcus Freeman and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees — is hoping to be able to do that in the coming weeks.

“I am talking a lot more with Coach Freeman, and I have always talked a lot with coach Tommy Rees,” Moore recently told On3’s Chad Simmons. “Me and Coach Rees talk ball, life, and we have had a strong bond for over a year. Now, me and Coach Freeman are chatting it up more, and I think he can do a great job.”
If Moore does choose Notre Dame, he will be the highest ranked quarterback prospect to pick Notre Dame since Dayne Crist (No. 13 nationally) back in the 2008 recruiting class.
Moore has an NIL Valuation of $46,000, which ranks No. 62 in the high school football NIL rankings. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Dante Moore has a solid social media following of 27,000. Most of his followers come from his Instagram account, which now has an On3 Per Post Value of $216. He also has more than 7,600 followers on Twitter.
Notre Dame currently has the No. 2 class in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.
