Harry Hiestand is back at Notre Dame to lead the Irish offensive line. He doesn’t have any 2023 offensive line commitments just yet, and he and the staff have already gotten a good head start for the 2024 class, offering four new players on Thursday.

St. Patrick’s Day is a built-in holiday for Notre Dame to utilize on the recruiting trail, and during the “Pot of Gold” day, the staff offered dozens of new prospects. Here’s a look at the new offensive line offers.

PROMOTION: Sign up for just $1 for first year at Blue & Gold

West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial OL Guerby Lambert

Height/weight: 6-7, 285
On3 Consensus Ranking: N/A
Other notable offers: Ohio State, Kentucky, Boston College

Catholic high school? Check. Offensive line recruit? Check. With those two boxes checked alone, Notre Dame should have a decent shot with his prospect. Last week, we even included him in an article titled “Five potential 2024 offers that could be big for Notre Dame” in anticipation of Lambert receiving an offer from the Irish. Notre Dame is in early on this prospect who will see his recruitment blow up with more offers in short order.

Malvern (Pa.) Prep OL Peter Jones

Height/weight: 6-4.5, 295
On3 Consensus Ranking: N/A
Other notable offers: Penn State, Michigan, Nebraska, Cincinnati, Duke

The Nittany Lions are the leader for Jones according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The propriety algorithm gives Penn State a 60.1 percent chance to land Jones. But even before Jones received his offer from the Irish, Blue & Gold logged a prediction in favor of Jones picking Notre Dame. There’s also a Penn State prediction logged. It’ll be a battle between the two schools, but Notre Dame is certainly a team to watch here.

Dillon (S.C.) High OL Josiah Thompson

Height/weight: 6-6, 288
On3 Consensus Ranking: No. 83 NATL, No. 3 OT, No. 1 player from South Carolina
Other notable offers: South Carolina, NC State, Florida State, Kentucky

This is a player who I heard about a couple months back as one Hiestand was eyeing for an offer, and the scholarship occurred today. Thompson doesn’t have a long offer list, but it has quality. And he has strong ranking early on, being ranked as the No. 3 tackle in America. South Carolina is considered the early RPM leader at 96.7 percent, as Thompson has already visited campus a few times and there’s an insider prediction logged for him to choose the Gamecocks.

Olney (Md.) Good Counsel OL Kyle Altuner

Height/weight: 6-4, 290
On3 Consensus Ranking: N/A
Other notable offers: Penn State, Ole Miss, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Maryland

Altuner visited Notre Dame for the Navy game last November, so he has a good feel already for South Bend and the ND campus. Good Counsel is the same high school that produced class of 2019 recruit Cam Hart, who is a returning starter at cornerback for the Irish. Notre Dame’s top competition for Altuner looks to be Penn State.
