The 2024 NFL Draft is less than three weeks away, and NFL reporters have exhausted former Notre Dame offensive tackle Joe Alt’s potential professional destination in their respective mock drafts. On Thursday, The Athletic’s national college football insider, Bruce Feldman, put his spin on projecting this year’s first round and Alt’s landing spot.

In Feldman’s mock draft, he polled NFL and college coaches and allowed them to speak anonymously about this year’s prospects. Here is what they said about Alt after Feldman slotted him to the Tennessee Titans, who own the No. 7 overall pick.

“I like him a lot,” one coach told Feldman. “He’s as good as I’ve coached against in a long time. He’s athletic. He is big. He’s strong. He moves his feet real well. He’s never in a bad position and he’s never on the ground. Some of these guys, you can get them moving. This dude always had his pads square and played with low pad level.”

Another added: “He was the best lineman we played all year.”

Since becoming the Tennessee Titans in 1999, they have only drafted one former Notre Dame player: linebacker Rocky Boiman (2002). Feldman has Alt as the first offensive tackle selected in this year’s draft.
