BREAKING: Central Ohio RB Favour Akih commits to Ohio State

COLUMBUS — The Buckeyes remain hot on the recruiting trail. Ohio State running backs coach Carlos Locklyn has landed a commitment in the 2026 class.
Four-star Delaware (Ohio) Hayes running back Favour Akih has commitment to the Buckeyes over scholarship offers from Michigan State, Miami and USC.
The 6-foot, 190-pound Akih visited for Ohio State’s first spring practice on March 17 which is when received a scholarship offer. Akih then visited the Buckeyes again on March 27, April 5 and for the spring game on April 12.
Akih, the No. 144 overall prospect in the 2026 On300, is the 14th commitment for Ohio State in the 2026 class. He joins an already talented in-state recruiting class for the Buckeyes that features four-star Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman Sam Greer, four-star Avon Lake (Ohio) interior offensive lineman Max Riley and four-star Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts on offense.
The Buckeyes also have four-star Avon (Ohio) cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon and four-star Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy linebacker CJ Sanna in the fold defensively
