Buckeyes looking to make jump forward in tune-up against Youngstown State

COLUMBUS — Ohio State will open the gates of Ohio Stadium for the 102nd season of Buckeyes football in the historic venue. And the Buckeyes will do so against a program with plenty of history and Ohio State connections.

The Buckeyes will welcome Youngstown State into Columbus for just the third time in the programs’ history on Saturday for a Noon kickoff.

Lettermen Row has the viewing and listening information in one piece ahead of kickoff.

Buckeyes vs. Penguins: Game time, details

Ohio State has only played Youngstown State twice in the programs’ history. The Buckeyes are 2-0, outscoring the Penguins 81-6. Those two matchups came in 2007 and 2008 when the Buckeyes were coached by Jim Tressel, who came to Ohio State from Youngstown State after winning national titles at that level.
