Ohio State flips three-star CB Jordyn Woods from Cincinnati

COLUMBUS – Ohio State has flipped Three-star Cartersville (Ga.) cornerback Jordyn Woods from Cincinnati. Cornerbacks coach Tim Walton wanted a third cornerback this cycle and now he has one in Woods.
Woods committed to Cincinnati on June 25 but flipped his commitment from the Bearcats to the Buckeyes on Monday night. He visited Ohio State for the Nebraska game on Oct. 26 and the Buckeyes offered a few weeks later on Nov. 3
On3 ranks the 6-foot-4, 175-pound Woods as the No. 59 cornerback in the 2025 class. He was in Columbus this weekend for an official visit and liked what he saw from the Buckeyes against Indiana.
“It was a great dominate win that really shows what Ohio state football is really about,” Wood told Lettermen Row on Saturday.

Woods has 41 total tackles, 27 solo tackles and three tackles for loss in 11 games as a junior. He also has five passes defended and two forced fumbles. Additionally, Woods has an impressive track and field
résumé. He has a personal best of over five feet in the long jump and over 40 feet in the triple jump.
Ohio State now has 26 commitments in the 2025 class following Woods’ commitment. Woods joins Five-star Plus+ Houston (Texas) North Shore cornerback Devin Sanchez and Five-Star Plus+ Birmingham (Ala) Parker cornerback Na’eem Offord in the class. On3’s Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons have both submitted On3 RPM picks for Offord to flip to Auburn, however.
The Buckeyes also have three talented safeties in the fold this cycle. Four-star Olney (Md.) Our Lady of Good Counsel safety Faheem Delane, four-star Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic safety DeShawn Stewart and three-star Cleveland (Ohio) St. Ignatius safety Cody Haddad are all firm in their Ohio State commitments.
