COLUMBUS — Ohio State has the best roster in college football heading into the summer. Future NFL Draft picks are everywhere across this depth chart.

NFL Draft experts are already taking note of the talent assembled for Ryan Day’s sixth season as the Buckeyes head coach.

CBS Sports’ draft expert Ryan Wilson is among them, and he has a bold take on just how many Buckeyes could be selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft — which is a full year from now.

Wilson is known as a top draft analyst, and he has a record-breaking seven Buckeyes players in his way-too-early mock draft for next spring’s NFL Draft.

To kick things off for the Buckeyes, Wilson has the New York Giants taking Ohio State defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau with the No. 5 overall pick. The star defensive end is expected to rise up draft boards and have a stellar season this fall.

Wilson also has a second Buckeyes defensive star flying off the board in the top 10 of the first round. He has the Minnesota Vikings selecting cornerback Denzel Burke with the No. 8 overall pick, one spot behind Michigan cornerback Will Johnson.

From there, he has yet another Ohio State wide receiver coming to the NFL in the first round. In his mock draft, Emeka Egbuka is selected by the Indianapolis Colts with the 14th pick. This would make Egbuka the fifth first-round wide receiver from Ohio State in the last four drafts. Marvin Harrison Jr. was taken No. 4 overall by the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night.

Then Wilson has back-to-back Buckeyes being selected in the middle of the first round.

Wilson has the Jacksonville Jaguars selecting offensive guard and three-year Ohio State starter Donovan Jackson with the 16th overall pick — and then Tyleik Williams coming off the board one pick later, going to the Cleveland Browns with the 17th overall pick.

The final Ohio State stars in the way-too-early mock draft, according to Wilson, are defensive end Jack Sawyer, who Wilson has heading to the Buffalo Bills with the No. 28 overall pick, and Ole Miss transfer running back Quinshon Judkins, who Wilson has going to the Kansas City Chiefs with the 32nd pick.

If Ohio State does have seven first-round selections next year, it would break the record for most first-round picks by a single school in a draft. Alabama had six in 2021, while Miami (FL) had six in 2004.

Of course, Ohio State has the most first-round picks of any school all-time. The Buckeyes have had 91 players selected in the first round all-time.

That will be extended next year, according to Wilson.
