COLUMBUS — Ohio State had injury concerns at times during training camp.

Turns out the month of buildup was plenty enough time to get healthy ahead of the massive Saturday-night showdown against Notre Dame.

Ohio State is waiting on just one game-time decision for the season-opening clash with Notre Dame. Wide receiver Julian Fleming is a game-time decision for the Buckeyes.

Fleming battled through injuries in each of his first two years with the Buckeyes, and he has what was described as his best offseason, being named an Iron Buckeye in the process.

Other than Fleming, the Buckeyes are good to go, even at cornerback, where there were concerns early in camp.

But they made it through with no other updates — and everyone appears set to go for the Buckeyes on Saturday night.

“That’s the balance that you try to find is: how do you make your team tougher and more physical and callous, hard?” Day said. “But then also making sure that they’re healthy and ready to go in his first game. I think we struck that balance. … that balance has been good. I think we do see it. You know, it’s exciting to know that we’re at full strength.”

Ohio State made it through a tough training camp and two weeks of Notre Dame prep with a clean bill of health. Now the Buckeyes must just wait on one more game-time decision: Julian Fleming’s availability will be a last-minute call.

The full availability report from the program is now confirmed, making note that Ohio State doesn’t detail injury or disciplinary matters.
