COLUMBUS – Ohio State got off to a slow start against Ohio on Saturday before pulling away in the second half. As for the Buckeyes of tomorrow, many of them dominated from start to finish on Friday night.

Each week during this high school football season, Lettermen Row will report on how each Ohio State commit and their teams perform during the 2025 football season.

Quarterbacks

Four-star Mission Viejo (Calif.) quarterback Luke Fahey was 20 for 30 for 234 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-24 win over San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln. Fahey also had 23 rushing yards on eight attempts.

2027 Four-star Huntington Beach (Calif.) quarterback Brady Edmunds was 12 for 18 for 163 yards in a 19-17 win over Redondo Beach (Calif.) Redondo Union. Edmunds also 19 rushing yards and one touchdown on seven attempts.

Running backs

Four-star Delaware (Ohio) Hayes running back Favour Akih did not play against Sunbury (Ohio) Big Walnut after suffering an ankle injury in his season opener. The Ohio State commit is expected back soon.

2028 Four-star Tampa (Fla.) Blake running back Elijah Hall had 95 rushing yards on 15 attempts in a 46-7 loss to Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit.

Wide receivers

Five-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. had three receptions for 59 yards in a 43-36 loss to Corona (Calif.) Centennial.

Four-star Inglewood (Calif) Mater Dei wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt five receptions for 165 yards and two touchdowns in a 43-36 loss to Corona (Calif.) Centennial.

Four-star wide receiver Jaeden Ricketts and Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial lost to Columbus (Ohio) Bishop Hartley 35-7.

Four-star Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northrop wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford had four receptions for 66 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-36 loss to Fort Wayne (Ind.) Homestead. Guilford also had 3 rushing yards and one touchdown on six attempts.

Four-star Southlake Carroll (Texas) wide receiver Brock Boyd had seven receptions for 93 yards and two touchdowns in a 52-3 win over Trophy Club (Texas) Byron Nelson.

2027 Five-star Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne wide receiver Jamier Brown had seven receptions for 118 yards and one touchdown in a 48-23 win over Springboro (Ohio).

Tight end

Three-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School tight end Corbyn Fordham had two receptions for eight yards in a 36-0 win over Jacksonville (Fla.) Bishop Kenny.

Offensive line

Four-star offensive lineman Sam Greer and Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban beat Akron (Ohio) East 52-0.

Four-star interior offensive lineman Max Riley and Avon Lake (Ohio) beat Grafton (Ohio) Midview 39-7.

Three-star offensive tackle Aaron Thomas and Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe beat Glendale (Ariz.) Mountain Ridge 37-21.

Three-star offensive lineman Tucker Smith and Phoenix (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Conner lost to played Mesa (Ariz.) Red Mountain 14-7.

Defensive line

Four-star defensive lineman Khary Wilder and Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra lost to Orange (Calif.) Lutheran 35-14.

Four-star defensive lineman Damari Simeon and Richland (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep beat Marlton (N.J.) Cherokee 35-0.

Three-star defensive lineman Cameron Brickle and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy beat Henderson (Nev.) Coronado 79-6.

Three-star defensive lineman Jamir Perez and Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville lost to Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward 28-14.

Linebackers

Four-star linebacker Cincere Johnson and Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville lost to Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward 28-14.

Four-star linebacker CJ Sanna and Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy beat Grove City (Ohio) Central Crossing 43-6.

Cornerback

Four-star Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic athlete Jordan Thomas had three total tackles and one pass defended in a 41-14 win over Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township.

Safeties

Four-star safety Blaine Bradford and Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic beat Lafayette (La.) St. Thomas More 35-28.

Four-star Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School safety Simeon Caldwell had six total tackles and three solo tackles in a 36-0 win over Jacksonville (Fla.) Bishop Kenny.
