Welcome to National Signing Day at Lettermen Row. Ohio State is expected to sign the majority of its 2026 class starting today, Dec. 3, as the Early Signing Period has begun. This page will have live updates throughout the day and links to every prospect that has sent in their National Letter of Intent.


COLUMBUS β€” Ohio State welcomes nearly 30 new faces to its program on Dec. 3, the opening day of the early signing period.

The Buckeyes open the day with theΒ fifth-ranked class according to Rivals but they are battling to keep a few commitments in the fold. Ohio State is also attempting to flip at least one prospect into its class.

Head coach Ryan Day looks to sign another top-five recruiting class when it is all said and done. Should the Buckeyes complete the class and it sticks inside the top five, this will be Day’s seventh top-five class. The 2025,Β 2024,Β 2023,Β 2022,Β 2021Β andΒ 2020Β classes all were inside the top five nationally.

Buckeyes announce signing of Darryus McKinley

Darryus McKinley is a four-star defensive lineman from Lafayette, Louisiana. He attended Acadiana High School. McKinley is the younger brother of current LSU defensive lineman and former five-star prospect Dominick McKinley. Ohio State and Larry Johnson fell just short of landing the older McKinley in the 2024 class. But they were able to complete the flip of the younger McKinley from LSU late in the cycle. Now the Buckeyes will wait to see if the older McKinley enters the Transfer Portal and attempts to join his brother in Columbus.

Ohio State QB Luke Fahey signs NLI

Luke Fahey is a three-star quarterback from Mission Viejo, California. He attended Mission Viejo High School. Ohio State offered Fahey on his official visit in June and he announced his commitment shortly after. Fahey turned down Indiana, Oklahoma State and others to be a Buckeye.

Max Riley completes the OL class

Max RileyΒ is a four-star offensive line from Avon Lake, Ohio. He attendedΒ Avon Lake High School. Henry was the first commitment for first-year offensive line coach Tyler Bowen in the 2026 class. He committed to the Buckeyes on March 10, 2025 over Clemson.

JJ Perez joins Cincere Johnson in Buckeyes class

Jamir PerezΒ is a three-star defensive lineman from Cleveland, Ohio. He attendedΒ Glenville High School. Ohio State offered Perez while he was on campus for the spring game in April and looked like the team to beat in his recruitment. Perez then made a surprise commitment to Florida in May but the Buckeyes didn’t let up. They got him on campus for an official visit in June and he flipped his commitment on the Fourth of July.

Ohio State announces Emanuel Ruffin

Emanuel RuffinΒ is a four-star defensive lineman Bessemer, Alabama. He attended Bessemer City High School. Ohio State, LSU and Tennessee all hosted Ruffin for official visits in June. He was set to announce a commitment on July 3 but decided to take his recruitment into the season. Ruffiin then took an in-season official visit to Colorado and committed to the Buffaloes shortly after. The Buckeyes never let up, however, and were ultimately able to flip him in November.

Tucker Smith signs with Ohio State

Tucker SmithΒ is a three-star offensive lineman from Phoenix, Arizona. He attendedΒ Sandra Day O’Connor High School. Smith was one of the first commitments for the Buckeyes this spring. He committed to Ohio State over USC, Arizona, Washington and other west coast schools.

Landry Brede complete journey to becoming a Buckeye

Landry BredeΒ is a three-star offensive lineman from Mentor, Ohio. He attended Mentor High School. Brede was a frequent visitor at Ohio State for most of his recruiting process but the offer didn’t come until late. While working for an offer from the Buckeyes, Brede committed to North Carolina State over the summer. Brede was locked in with the Wolfpack but when Ohio State offered in October, he quickly flipped his commitment to the in-state school.

CJ Sanna joins Silver Bullets

CJ SannaΒ is a four-star linebacker from Lewis Center, Ohio. He attendedΒ Olentangy High School. Sanna was one of the early commitments for Ohio State this cycle. He committed to the Buckeyes in the spring over offers from Michigan State and Pittsburgh, where his uncle is an assistant coach.

In-state tight end Nick Lautar signs with Ohio State

Nick LautarΒ is a three-star tight end from Lebanon, Ohio. He attendedΒ Lebanon High School. Lautar committed to Louisville on June 1, 2025 but Ohio State continued to evaluate him. He worked out at one of the Buckeyes camps in June but didn’t earn an offer. Bailey watched his senior film and ultimately decided to offer in November. Lautar earned an offer while visiting for the UCLA game and flipped his commitment the next day.

Elite offensive tackle Sam Greer signs with Ohio State

Sam GreerΒ is a four-star offensive tackle from Akron, Ohio. He attendedΒ Archbishop Hoban High School. Greer was the first major recruiting win for first-year offensive line coach Tyler Bowen this cycle. He committed to Ohio State on March 25, 2025.

Top in-state linebacker Cincere Johnson is a Buckeye

Cincere JohnsonΒ is a four-star linebacker from Cleveland, Ohio. He attendedΒ Glenville High School, a notorious Ohio State pipeline program. Johnson committed to the Buckeyes in June following his official visit to Columbus. He also took trips to Alabama and Penn State before siding with the in-state school.

Buckeye legacy Mason Wilhlem signs with Ohio State

Mason WilhelmΒ is a three-star offensive lineman from Lakewood, Ohio. He attended St. Edward High School. Wilhelm is also the son of former Ohio State All-American linebacker Matt Wilhelm. The Buckeyes evaluated the younger Wilhelm at several points throughout his recruitment but his offer did not come until November. At the time, Wilhelm was committed to North Carolina but he flipped to Ohio State as soon as offensive line coach Tyler Bowen told him that he had an offer.Β 

Four-star safety Simeon Caldwell is in

Simeon CaldwellΒ is a four-star safety from Jacksonville, Florida. He attended The Bolles School High School. Caldwell committed to Ohio State on April 3, 2025 just days after top-75 safety Blaine Bradford chose the Buckeyes over hometown LSU. Bradford also had offers from Florida State, Notre Dame, Miami and others.

Favour Akih is the first in-state signee

Favour AkihΒ is a four-star running back from Delaware, Ohio. He attendedΒ Rutherford B. Hayes High School. Akih committed to the Buckeyes in June following his official visit. He had been silently committed to Ohio State for much longer, however. Akih earned an offer from the coaching staff in the spring and shut down his recruitment shortly after.

Former Maryland commit Khmari Bing sends NLI in early

Khmari BingΒ is a three-star safety from Baltimore, Maryland. He attendedΒ St. Frances Academy High School. The Buckeyes flipped Bing from Maryland in October following his official visit for the Minnesota game. Alabama and Indiana also tried to get Bing on campus this fall but he committed to Ohio State before visiting either.
