Photos: Confirmed visitors list for Ohio State's win over Ohio

COLUMBUS – Ohio State hosted Ohio in primetime on Saturday. As a result, the Buckeyes had dozens of recruits and their families inside the Shoe for their win over the Bobcats.

Ohio State hosted several in-state commitments for the game including four-star Delaware (Ohio) Hayes running back Favour Akih, four-star Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman Sam Greer and 2027 Five-star Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne wide receiver Jamier Brown. Three-star Phoenix (Ariz.) Sandra Day O’Conner offensive lineman Tucker Smith also returned to campus after his team played on Thursday night.
The Buckeyes also hosted four flip targets in the 2026 class. Three-star North Carolina State offensive line commit Landry Brede was on the expected visitors list heading into Saturday. He made down for the game. Three-star Louisville tight end commit Nick Lautar, three-star Indiana linebacker commit Ja’Dyn Williams and three-star Toledo offensive line commit Preston Dazey were surprise visitors on Saturday. Ohio State has not officially offered Lautar, Williams or Dazey but it is notable that they visited for the Ohio game.
In the 2027 class, the notable names were offensive linemen. four-star Germantown (Wisc.) offensive lineman Cole Reiter and four-star Poquoson (Va.) offensive lineman Carter Jones were the two headliners. Three-star Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School athlete Caleb Cooper was another notable addition to the Buckeyes visitors list.
