Tennessee commit Legend Bey flips to Ohio State

COLUMBUS – Ohio State has one again got the spatula out to flip a top target in the 2026 class.

The Buckeyes have flipped four-star North Forney (Texas) athlete Legend Bey from Tennessee. Ohio State hosted Bey for an official visit for the Penn State game and now he’ll play college football in Columbus.

Bey is the No. 275 overall prospect and No. 8 athlete in the 2026 class, according to Rivals. No other recruiting outlet has him rated as a four-star prospect which makes him a Rivals outlier. He is the No. 371 overall prospect and No. 9 athlete in the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Ohio State is recruiting Bey to be a running back but he has had strong senior season for North Forney. playing quarterback He has thrown for 1,011 yards and 13 touchdowns while completing 53% of his passes. Bey has also rushed for 1,113 yards and 19 touchdowns this season.

The Buckeyes now have two running backs committed in the 2026. Bey joins four-star Delaware (Ohio) Hayes standout Favour Akih in the class. Akih is more of a traditional running back while Bey is a versatility do-it-all back who could even play slot receiver.

Running backs coach Carlos Locklyn has been searching for a second back in the 2026 class and he got his guy in Legend Bey.
