And now, yes now, OU fans have every right to start believing. And every right to reflect on all those receipts they’ve been stockpiling over the last couple of years.

Must-win game after must-win game, and head coach Brent Venables and Team 131 have come through time and time again.

This time around, though? Sure feels different. You do not walk into Tuscaloosa and beat Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium. But, of course, OU just did that in a 23-21 upset victory that has turned around the entire season’s projection.

One game, one afternoon and now everything is flipped. And for the better. You’re allowed to rewatch and celebrate time and time again.

The Sooners went in and did something few other teams in the SEC have done. It might mean they have finally joined the ranks of elite programs in the SEC.
