Ole Miss added a commitment from Michigan cornerback Amorion Walker on Wednesday. The uber-athletic Ponchatoula (La.) prospect fought through an injury in Ann Arbor his first two years with the Wolverines but drew rave reviews from the staff and beat.

Walker played in six games this season at Michigan as a reserve at cornerback after entering the program as a freshman at wide receiver. He had one career catch for four yards in 2022 and had three sacks and a pass defended this year.

He was a three-star prospect and the No. 470 player in the country out of Louisiana in the 2022 class, per the On3 Industry Ranking. It also ranked him as the No. 76 wide receiver in the class and the 22nd-ranked player out of the Pelican State.

Walker should fit in nicely in Bryan Brown’s cornerback room. The Rebels are looking to replace several starters and contributors and return Chris Graves and Trey Washington. Ole Miss is also set to host Alabama cornerback Trey Amos this weekend.

One member of the beat, Clayton Sayfie, had plenty of chances to see Amorion Walker in person.

On this episode of #notcommitted, Sayfie gives his amateur scouting review of Walker’s game. He discusses what the Michigan likes about his game and what Jim Harbaugh had to say about the “freak” athlete.
