Ole Miss men’s basketball is coming off its second longest downtime between games since the season started when it opens up a critical early-season three-game home stand to close out November and open up December.

Starting on Tuesday the Rebels (5-0) host North Carolina State in the first ever ACC/SEC Challenge, coming off their first road win of the season after beating Temple last Wednesday.

The first two games of the home stand include the Wolfpack and then Memphis comes to the SJB Pavilion on Saturday, in a stretch the Ole Miss program is dubbing ‘Culture Week.’ Once Saturday afternoon arrives firs-year head coach Chris Beard will have an even better idea of where his team is after what are arguably the two toughest games of the non-conference portion of the schedule.

In the last three games the Rebels have won by a combined five points and two of the wins have come down to a defensive possession and a missed last-second shot by the opponent. None of the first five wins have been comfortable victories as Ole Miss has not won by more than 10 points.
