The SEC this week is holding its annual Media Days in advance of the 2023 college football season.

The event this year is being held in Nashville, Tenn. League commissioner Greg Sankey and coach and player representatives from LSU, Missouri and Texas A&M kicked off the festivities on Tuesday. Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt made the rounds on Tuesday.

Wednesday featured Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and Kentucky. The Crimson Tide almost always bring the by far the most fans to SEC Media Days, the premier college football event of the summer. This year was no different.

Ole Miss is one of three schools rounding things out on Thursday.

The others are South Carolina and Tennessee.

The Rebels are sending head coach Lane Kiffin and players Quinshon Judkins, Deantre Prince and Cedric Johnson to the Music City. Kiffin is entering his fourth Ole Miss season. Judkins is the Rebels’ star second-year running back. He set a new single-season school record for rushing yards as a true freshman last season. Judkins is considered by some a sleeper Heisman candidate.

Prince is a returning four-year starter in the Ole Miss secondary. Johnson is a veteran EDGE making his second of back-to-back SEC Media Days appearances. The Rebels are set to make their rounds starting Thursday at 9:05 a.m. CT.

All four days of SEC Media Days are being broadcast nationally on the SEC Network. The SEC is responsible for the last four national championships. This year’s Media Days are the last before the conference expands to 16 teams.

Texas and Oklahoma are joining July 1, 2024.
