Ole Miss basketball bounced back from a disappointing loss at Memphis a week go with a dominating 98-61 win over Valparaiso on Saturday.

The Rebels set a new season-high in points scored, field goal percentage, assists and steals. They improved to 7-2 on the year and next host UCF for the second of a five-game homestand.

“I really thought this was obviously the best, offensively, that we’ve played,” Ole Miss head coach Kermit Davis said. “We had 64 points in the paint, 19 assists on five turnovers, and had six guys score in double figures.”

Davis, forward Jaemyn Brakefield and guard Daeshun Ruffin all met the media afterwards. Brakefield (11 points) and Ruffin (14 points) were two of six Rebels to score double-digit points in the win.
