Oregon Among Top Five for 2025 DB
One of the top cornerbacks in the country in the 2025 class has already announced a top five.
St. Frances Academy (Md.) defensive back Blake Woodby has named Oregon, Clemson, Alabama, Tennessee and Ohio State as his early top five. The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder is the No. 91 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. Woodby is the No. 8 ranked corner in 2025.
Here is what Woodby told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on his top five.
Oregon – Oregon is one of those places I know I’m going to get taken care at. Everyone gets treated like family!
Ohio State – Ohio State was my dream school when I started playing corner. There’s nothing like the block O.
Clemson – Death Valley is a great place. I can feel the championship culture as soon as I step on campus.
Alabama – Bama produces 1st round picks, and they will develop me into the best player I can be. Who wouldn’t want that?
Tennessee – Tennessee is slept on I feel like in college football. I would love to put on orange and white and be the underdog & shock the world.
Oregon has hosted Woodby on campus already this year. His teammates, corner Ify Obidwegu and quarterback Michael Van Buren are already committed to Oregon as part of its 2024 class.
Prior to the update, Penn State held a slight edge in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Ohio State was a very close second, just 3% behind them.
