Oregon Football Lands In-State LB Emar'rion Winston
Dan Lanning did his very best to put up a fence around the home state of Oregon.
Although he was working up against the clock, Lanning and his staff were able to secure three of the top five players from the state of Oregon.
On national signing day, they re-landed a commitment from Central Catholic (Ore.) linebacker Emar’rion Winston. The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder is the No. 5 ranked player in the state. He was previously committed to Oregon under Mario Cristobal’s tenure.

Winston now joins the No. 2 (Lowe) and No. 3 (Williams) ranked players from the state to sign with Oregon. The top-ranked player, wide receiver Darius Clemons signed with Michigan in the early signing period.
If the last name looks familiar, that’s because Winston is the younger brother of former Duck linebacker La’Mar Winston.
The Ducks now have 14 verbal commits in the 2022 class with an additional 5 transfers incoming.
