Oregon lands commitment from former Texas A&M receiver Caleb Chapman

Oregon has gone to the transfer portal once again, this time to bolster its receiving depth.
On Friday, the Ducks landed a commitment from former Teas A&M receiver Caleb Chapman. His commitment was first reported by 247 Sports.
In Chapman, Oregon is getting a 6-foot-5, 200-pound vertical threat who is a former 4-star recruit. Tabbed by On3 as the No. 326 overall prospect and No. 62 receiver in the class of 2018, the Friendswood, Texas native was hindered by injuries for the Aggies during the past two seasons.

Chapman played in six games for Texas A&M in 2021 and tallied 13 catches for 210 yards. In three games during the 2020 season, he caught 14 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns.
Chapman comes to Oregon with two years of eligibility remaining.
He is the second receiver the Ducks have added via the transfer portal this offseason. In February, Oregon landed a commitment from former UCLA receiver Chase Cota, who was with the program during the spring and was one of the stars of the Ducks’ spring game.
