On Monday Rivals went through and ranked the 32 all-time five-stars. It’s an extensive list dating back to the year 2000. It includes some of the heavyweights of college football.
In that span there have been more than 500 five-stars. While the stars don’t matter crowd can debate five-stars vs the field, most will understand the percentage of hits among the elite remains high.

Oregon has landed 13 five-star commits in the rankings era dating back to 2002. And that commit is the one that made Rivals’ top 32 all-time rankings.
Oregon football legend, Haloti Ngata was ranked No. 13 on the list. The elite defensive tackle signed with the Ducks out of Highland (Utah) and went on to have a decorated NFL career. He was drafted in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He spent his first 8 seasons there before spending two years in Detroit ending in Philadelphia in 2018.
Ngata was a five-time pro-bowler in his NFL career.
At Oregon he was the Pac-10 co-defensive player of the year in 2005.
Most consider Ngata on the Mt. Rushmore of college football players at Oregon.
