Oregon Men's Basketball Lands Transfer

In a very surprising twist, Dana Altman lands a late basketball transfer. And this time he’s snagged himself another big with Stetson grad transfer Mahamadou Diawara per On3’s Joe Tipton.
The 6-foot-10, 250-pounder averaged 4.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game last season while shooting nearly 54% from the field. He has spent all four years of his college career at Stetson.

Despite his August commitment, Diawara will count as part of the 2023 recruiting class for Altman.
The Ducks signed in-state point guard Jackson Shelstad and forward Mookie Cook in 2023. Both are enrolled at Oregon already. Montaverde Academy (Md.) big man Kwame Evans has also signed but has not yet enrolled with Oregon as part of its 2023 class.
After several departures in the transfer portal, Altman had several additions as well. In addition to Diawara, Oregon signed former Georgia forward Kario Oquendo and Central Michigan combo guard Jesse Zarzuela.
