Oregon's Three Toughest Home Games

Late last week I took a look at the Oregon schedule and offered up my three toughest road games. And all three games are going to be legitimately tough for the Ducks.

Well the home games are tough too. But perhaps just a bit more favorable for the Ducks.

Let’s take a look at the three toughest home games for Oregon this upcoming season.

Here is a link to the 2023-2024 Oregon football schedule.

3. Washington State (Oct. 21)

The top two were pretty clear to me. This spot could have gone a number of different ways. But I went with Wazzu for a couple of reasons. It’s towards the back end of the season and wedged between Washington and Utah. If you’re looking for a trap game, this is the true definition of one. Wazzu has a massive talent gap to make up vs Oregon but count on Dickert to pull out all the stops hoping to catch Oregon off-guard.

2. Oregon State (Nov. 24)

Well this is one Dan Lanning needs to get back. The last regular season game after losing to OSU in poor fashion last year. We know Jonathan Smith will unload his arsenal and if DJ U is still upright at this point in the season, he could be a wild card in this one. There has potential for there to be a lot riding on this game for Oregon so look for OSU to try and play spoiler in Autzen.

1. USC (Nov. 11)

Autzen will absolutely be packed and rocking if these two teams have the seasons most are expecting. We could even be talking about a potential top 5 matchup here. Almost certainly top 10. I’m not sure I’ve seen this much anticipation for a game in a while which now becomes the last time these two teams meet as Pac-12 opponents, barring a potential re-match in the P12 CCG.
