PODCAST: Previewing and Predicting No. 9 Oregon vs. No. 20 Iowa

The No. 9 Oregon Ducks (7-1, 4-1 Big Ten) travel to Iowa City this weekend for a matchup against the No. 20 Iowa Hawkeyes (6-2, 4-1 Big Ten).
Dan Lanning and his squad start off November against one of three top-25 teams they’ll face this month with matchups against the No. 19 USC Trojans and the No. 23 Washington Huskies also on the schedule.
The Ducks currently hold the best regular season road winning streak in college football having won their last 10 games away from Eugene.
It won’t be an easy matchup for Oregon this weekend, as they’ll hit the road for the fourth time this season and be welcomed to another hostile environment in Iowa’s Kinnick Stadium. But the Ducks have been on this type of stage before. Regardless of what’s happened since late September, Oregon went into Beaver Stadium and gutted out a physical 30-24 win over then No. 3 Penn State in double overtime.
That experience should be valuable for the entire team, but maybe most valuable for quarterback Dante Moore, who will get his ninth start for Oregon after getting knocked out of the Wisconsin game two weeks ago with an injury.

Oregon’s defense has been sound all year, but will they be able to hold the line in the trenches against an Iowa team that loves to run the ball? The Hawkeyes are averaging 185.3 rushing yards per game, with quarterback Mark Gronowski leading the team in rushing touchdowns (11) and second on the team in rushing yards (313).
Will Oregon be able to start fast and look sharp after their second bye week of the year? That wasn’t the case when they eventually lost to Indiana after their last bye. Maybe they can turn a new leaf and come out of the gate firing on both sides of the ball.
ScoopDuckOn3’s Max Torres sits down with publisher Tom Kakert of Hawkeye Report, Iowa’s On3 site, to preview this weekend’s big matchup.
