QUACK! Oregon Football Lands 4-Star DB Jahlil Florence

Dan Lanning and his staff hosted a key group of visitors this weekend. Perhaps one of the most important was Lincoln (Calif.) defensive back Jahlil Florence.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder committed to Oregon in August. But with the coaching changes he opened his recruitment back up.
Florence had his choice of a number of colleges nationally but recently trimmed things down to Oregon and USC following official visits.
This is a huge win for Dan Lanning not only due to his talent but also the head-to-head battle with Lincoln Riley and USC. Florence is the No. 110 ranked player in the On3 Consensus.

THE 2022 CLASS BUILDS
With little time to work, Dan Lanning made the most of his time. Since being hired, he was able to sign 7 to the 2022 class led by Florence’s teammate Jalil Tucker.
He also went to work in the transfer portal landing commitments from quarterback Bo Nix and four others.
Florence is the fifth commit in the 2022 class from the prep level that has yet to sign. Signing day will begin on Wednesday, February 2.
