Oregon enters July with a nice commitment in the 2024 recruiting class. The Ducks might have picked up its biggest commitment, literally, in it’s top ranked class.

Coming in at 6-foot-8, 340-pounds, Oregon has added a verbal commitment from Jac’Qawn McRoy Saturday. The four-star from Clay-Chalkville (Ala.) committed to the Ducks over offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, Kentucky and others.

***Impact: What’s Left at OL for Oregon***

McRoy is the No. 190 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 16 ranked offensive tackle in the country.

The four-star visited Oregon back in late April and at that time wasn’t really shy about sharing where Oregon stood. Since that visit it has felt like the Ducks had the upper hand in his recruitment.

“Well since the 8th-9th grade, I loved Oregon. It was my dream school. But they didn’t offer any kids where I’m from so I never really imagined playing for them. When coach (Adrian) Klemm came down and offered me (before he left for NE) it got me super excited. I thought he’d stay but I could see why he went back to the NFL. I really like Terry a lot too though so it’s still all good. Coach Cutter (Leftwich) is funny too, I love that guy.”

With McRoy now committed, Oregon has four offensive line commits in Fox Crader, Trent Ferguson, Devin Brooks and now Jac’Qawn McRoy.

Oregon remains in the hunt for several offensive linemen in the 2024 class including Brandon Baker, Isaiah Garcia and Preston Taumua.

Oregon now has 17 commits and the No. 10 ranked class in the country per On3 rankings.
