Penn State football is set for the conclusion of the 2023 spring football season with the annual Blue-White Game at Beaver Stadium. Before the game kicks off at 2 pm, join the BWI Live pregame show. Host Thomas Frank Carr and former Penn State defensive tackle Aeneas Hawkins sit down for the hour before kickoff and discuss how spring football has gone for the Nittany Lions.

If you’re catching the game locally, you can also hear the pregame show live on 99.5 The Bus in State College. In addition, blue White Illustrated and 7 Mountains Media are teaming up to simulcast the Blaise Alexander Dealerships Tailgate 2023 on YouTube and radio. If you haven’t yet, subscribe to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube so you don’t miss the show!

Penn State quarterbacks take center stage

Of course, there’s no position more interesting and more important than quarterback. So, T-Frank and Hawkins will start the show by discussing Penn State’s spring competition between presumed starter Drew Allar and teammate Beau Pribula. From there, they’ll briefly discuss the running back positions for the upcoming game.

They’ll spend the next section of the show discussing the wide receiver competition for Penn State. Which players have asserted themselves this spring? Then, Hawkins and T-Frank will discuss what they’re looking for and how fans should watch the wide receiver competition unfold on the field.

Recruiting: Which recruits are expected to visit Penn State Saturday?

After briefly discussing tight ends, T-Frank will turn things over to Hakwins, who will take you in the trenches for an offensive line and defensive line breakdown. Next, he’ll highlight the importance of key personnel returning for 2023 and the defensive tackle position battle. Finally, he’ll discuss the importance of Hunter Nourzad’s transition to center this spring and which matchups he’s watching during the game.

How much will Manny Diaz show off?

Finally, they’ll preview the linebackers and safeties to close out the show. T-Frank is interested in how the team will use its linebackers on Saturday and how much defensive coordinator Manny Diaz will show off his position versatility plans for his star linebackers, Curtis Jacobs and Abdul Carter.
