Penn State head coach James Franklin and his assistants will host another massive list of prospects Saturday for the Blue-White Game. Over the past three weeks, the Nittany Lions have seen their Class of 2024 double, jumping from four commitments to eight since March 25. That includes two of the nation’s top players at their respective positions in Belle Vernon, Pa., athlete Quinton Martin and Jacksonville, Fla., cornerback Jon Mitchell.

There’s also still plenty of talent in Pennsylvania to consider. So far, four of the eight committed players are from the Keystone State, and there’s a real chance that number will double by the time the early signing period arrives in December. We’ve already logged picks in On3’s Recruiting Prediciton Machine for offensive tackle Kevin Heywood to end up a Nittany Lion. Heywood will be on campus this weekend and is one for fans to watch closely.

But he’s not the only in-state player to monitor. After BWI’s Sean Fitz logged a pick in yesterday’s ‘S’ Zone, I have also now logged a pick in On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine for Wyomissing offensive lineman Caleb Brewer to end up at Penn State.

Former teammates with current Penn State offensive lineman J’ven Williams, Brewer earned an offer from the Nittany Lions in January while on campus for a junior day with the staff. He also visited twice before, camping with the staff last summer before attending the game against Northwestern in October. He’ll now return to State College today for the Blue-White Game, making him a player that fans need to watch closely.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 280 pounds, Brewer is listed as an interior offensive lineman by On3. However, we will note that Penn State likes his versatility, as Brewer also played tight end and defensive end during his junior season.

Brewer also has an impressive offer sheet. After earning his first scholarship offer from Maryland on Sept. 27, he quickly climbed to 10 by the start of November. He’s now just shy of 30 offers overall. Just this spring, Brewer has visited Duke, NC State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Pitt. The Fighting Irish and Wolverines are also believed to be serious contenders.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Brewer hold an 88.22 overall grade, making him a high three-star player. He’s ranked No. 512 nationally and is the 34th-ranked offensive lineman and No. 15 in Pennsylvania.
