Penn State Spring Practice: What You Need To Know From The First Week

Penn State football opened up spring practice for the second time this year to give the media a glimpse into the team’s progress through the season’s first week. Later, head coach James Franklin spoke with the media, followed by offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki and several veteran players.

Blue White Illustrated was there for all of it, and we’re discussing what we saw and heard on today’s BWI Live Show. Join veteran reporters Sean Fitz and Nate Bauer as they discuss the meaningful parts of Tuesday’s open practice. We’ll also take your questions to end the show in the BWI Mailbag.

James Franklin press conference conversation

After practice, Franklin spoke with reporters for roughly ten minutes and discussed various topics. One of the main conversations this spring is the teaching process in football. Once again, Franklin clarifies his staff’s intentions around offensive, defensive, and speical teams installation and what their process is like this year. Bauer and Fitz will consider his comments on that and more.
