The Penn State Class of 2024 crop of early enrollees is getting in on the NIL game. Announced on Wednesday afternoon via social media, true freshman tight end Luke Reynolds has signed with Inch & Co. Sports for his NIL representation.

Reynolds is a 6-foot-4, 212-pound prospect in the Nittany Lions’ newest class of January enrollees. Ranked No. 56 overall in the On3 Industry Rankings for the Class of 2024, he also carries four-star status and is considered the top overall prospect in the recruiting cycle for Penn State.

“We are super excited to work with Luke and help guide him through NIL,” Joe Gazza, Inch & Co. Sports president, said via press release. “Not only is he the top TE in the country for his class, but he is a very charismatic young man with a great support system in place. We are honored to be part of that and look forward to helping him excel on and off the field.”

Scouting Luke Reynolds

The expectations at Penn State match those of Inch & Co. Sports for Reynolds.

Already on campus participating in January workouts ahead of March’s spring practices, Reynolds carries with him a lofty projection from On3 scouting director Charles Powers, who broke down the Nittany Lions’ class upon its signing last December.

“I think he’s put himself in that top tier at tight end in 2024,” Powers told BWI. “Luke Reynolds has a lot of really projectable skills when you’re looking at not only playing in college but also the NFL. He’s the type of tight end that the modern NFL gravitates toward.

“But, Reynolds is a guy who has outstanding change of direction and natural movement skills. I think he projects as a guy who can work over the middle of the field at a highly effective rate, just given his wiggle, his ability to change directions, and the shake at the top of his routes. He can win within the route. He is gritty after the catch at maximizing yardage. And he’s a plus athlete as well. Then he can go up and win in contested situations. He has very reliable hands. So I think there’s just a wide variety of skill that Luke Reynolds brings to the table at the position.”

Inch & Co. Sports continues to add Penn State players

A significant donor to the Penn State football program, the budding Inch & Co. Sports talent agency has built out a roster littered with Nittany Lion football players. Among them, Inch & Co. Sports has also signed York, Pa., quarterback Beau Pribula, as well as receivers KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Trey Wallace, running back Kaytron Allen, safeties Jaylen Reed and KJ Winston, and linebacker Tony Rojas.

“Backed by John and Jeff Inch, who started one of the fastest growing real estate and construction companies in the U.S., we can provide exclusive access to a resource that can build sustainable and generational wealth for our athletes,” its site states.

The close relationship with Penn State football is also evident within the agency’s mantra. Embracing one of the core tenets of Nittany Lion head coach James Franklin, the site announced its business intention upon its creation during the summer of 2023.

“We compete in everything that we do,” the site reads. “Our entire team has a sports background and is under the age of 36. We come to win.”

Expanding its business beyond its initial roster exclusively filled with Penn State football players, Inch & Co. Sports has also welcomed Texas A&M wide receiver Jabre Barber, West Virginia defensive lineman TJ Jackson III, and Pittsburgh running back Juelz Goff to its list of clients this offseason.
