Purdue lands commitment from 2026 Illinois defensive lineman

Purdue added another defensive lineman to its 2026 recruiting class today, landing Downers Grove North (Ill.) lineman Aiden Solecki today. Solecki was on campus over the weekend for an official visit, which came just over a month after he was offered by defensive ends coach Jake Trump in May.
Solecki also netted offers from Michigan State and Washington State in May, along with Fresno State, San Diego, Toledo, Central Michigan, Buffalo, Ball State, Miami (OH), Kent State, Western Michigan, Northern Illinois and others. The Illinois native tallied 50 tackles and eight sacks for Downers Grove as a junior in 2024.

Purdue now has two defensive linemen in the 2026 class, both hailing from Illinois, with Solecki and Hillcrest edge rusher Max Carmicle, who flipped from Northern Illinois to Purdue earlier this month.
Solecki’s commitment also gives the Boilermakers 15 pledges in the 2026 recruiting class, also joining three-star quarterback Corin Berry, three-star defensive backs Raderrion Daniels, Emoni Smith and Dana Greenhow, three-star linebacker Brayden Sweeney, three-star running back Izaiah Wright, three-star wide receivers Brandon Kinsey and Kymistrii Young, and three-star offensive linemen James Williams, Brock Brownfield, Terrell Berryhill and Rico Schrieber.
