Purdue lands commitment from 2026 Indiana offensive lineman

Purdue added a commitment from 2026 Indiana offensive lineman James “Bam” Williams on Monday.

The 6-3, 295-pound Williams–projected to be an interior lineman–is a product of Lawrence Central High in Indianapolis who had offers from the likes of Michigan State, Ball State and Toledo, among others.

He is the third offensive lineman Purdue has added in the Class of 2026, joining Brock Brownfield of New Palestine (Ind.) High and Rico Schrieber of Chicago Marist.

Williams is the Boilermakers’ seventh pledge in the Class of 2026, joining Chicago Marist OL Rico Schrieber, Grand Rapids (Mich.) Catholic Central LB Brayden Sweeney, Ontario (Calif.) Charter Oak QB Corin Berry, Rockwood (Mich.) Oscar A. Carlson High RB Izaiah Wright and New Palestine (Ind.) OL Brock Brownfield and Selma (Ala.) TE ArMari Towns.
