Current height, weight… 6-2, 225.
How are things looking academically to get on campus in June… “I’m actually excited to go to class. I haven’t been in school in about four months so it will be nice.”
What are you working on the most until you arrive at SMU… “My size for sure because I know that if I’m not big or strong enough to play then I won’t.”
Favorite prospect in the 2023 class… “My favorite player in our class is Keldric Luster for sure. I’ve played against him twice and it’s always fun to play him. He’s not your average quarterback, but he is really good and personally, I think a lot of our guys in the class are very under the radar.”
Closest friend in the 2023 class… “My closet friend for in the class is Tripp Riordan. We are going to be rooming together and we have known each other for a pretty long time. We are very similar in our personalities so it will be fun living with him next year.”
On what you’ll remember from playing during your high school days… “My favorite memories from high school are for sure beating SOC sophomore year on a game winning field goal and taking it 98 yards to the house against Frisco Reedy. That was my most memorable game. I knew what I was capable of but this game really showed me I can dominate.”
A recruiting story you will remember most… “A recruiting story I will remember the most is definitely when I’m on the way to go coach my friends and my’s rec basketball team and on the way there I get a call from Memphis and the offer me in the car and I had people in the car and they were so excited for me. And we ended up winning that basketball game on a buzzer beater fade away three. My team the Caddy Shaqs won the championship three straight years.”
Something that irked you about the recruiting process… “Something that irked me about the recruiting process is waiting for the first one (offer).”
Why SMU… “I chose SMU because I wanted the best of both worlds great academics and great football.”
Goals at SMU and beyond… “My goals at SMU are to maintain a 3.7 GPA, be all-conference and All-American and obviously win a lot of games. Then, get drafted and play in the league.”
Favorite movie… “Cars or Good Will Hunting.”
Favorite artist… “Drake and Zach Bryan for sure.”
Favorite sport… “100% football.”
Favorite pro team… “Dallas Cowboys.”
Favorite athlete… “Kobe Bryant. Just his competitiveness and want to be the best inspires me.”
Something people don’t know about you… “Something many people don’t know about me is how much of a different person I am on the field than I am off of it. On the field, I hit the switch and I play with passion and all I want to do is win. When I get off the field, I like to relax and enjoy my time with my friends and family.”
