Excited to announce that On The Pony Express has partnered with the SMU Alumni & Mustang Engagement team! Please read over the note from our friends on the Hilltop on the new partnership with OTPE!

Hello Mustangs — and welcome to our new direct line to the SMU Alumni & Mustang Engagement team.

We’re thrilled to partner with OnThePonyExpress to bring you a real-time hub for all things SMU community — and this is your invitation to help build it. As part of SMU Alumni & Mustang Engagement, our mission is to strengthen the lifelong bond between Mustangs everywhere.

That means bridging what happens on-campus, in Dallas, and across alumni networks around the country so you never miss the next big gathering, opportunity, or story.

What to expect here:

  • Campus & regional event updates. From tailgates and watch parties to city-based meetups, volunteer events, and networking receptions — we’ll share what’s coming up and how you can plug in.
  • SMU news, milestones & community achievements. Whether it’s developments from campus (new initiatives, athletic wins, community-engagement efforts) or stories about alumni making waves, we’ll try to spotlight it.
  • Networking, mentorship & support. Use this space to reconnect with classmates, seek mentorship, post job- or project-related opportunities, or simply root for old friends. The worldwide SMU alumni network is strong!
  • Community, give-back & staying connected. This board can also be a place to coordinate volunteer efforts, share resources, or support student and alumni causes together to carry forward the Mustang tradition of service and impact.

We encourage you to jump in: post your ideas, celebrations, questions, needs, and stories. Want to find alums in a certain city, coordinate a watch-party or tailgate, reconnect with old classmates, or give back somehow? This is a place for that.

Our hope is simple: to build a vibrant, inclusive, and helpful corner of the Mustang community where past, present, and future Mustangs come together — no matter where you are.
