SMU vs. Cal: How to watch, channel, streaming

The SMU Mustangs close out one of the best regular seasons in program history on Saturday by welcoming the Cal Golden Bears to Gerald J. Ford Stadium. With Thanksgiving break impacting student attendance in Dallas, the Mustangs may not have the packed crowds they’ve grown accustomed to. Head coach Rhett Lashlee issued a challenge to the young fans during his press conference this week.
“Saturday’s a big deal and I know it’s Thanksgiving weekend, the kids are out of school and people travel and all that. Thanksgiving’s Thursday, right? Turkey coma’s Friday. Saturday at 2:30 at Ford Stadium is for the Mustangs. And so we need everybody to get back into Dallas,” Lashlee said. “We need everybody in Dallas to come watch SMU play.
“Cuz our home environment has been special this year. And it’s been a big reason that we’ve won the way we have and we’re gonna need them on Saturday. And so that’s a plea for them to come be a part of something special.”
The Golden Bears, sitting at 6-5, have already clinched a post-season bowl berth. They boast the No. 38 defense in the nation in total defense, including the No. 8 defense in takeaways with 17 interceptions on the year, as well as five fumble recoveries.
The SMU Mustangs enter the matchup on Saturday against Cal as 13.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel on Thursday. The over/under total for the game is currently 55.5 points. Moreover, SMU’s moneyline to win is -480, while Cal’s moneyline is +365.
