It’s important to note in this context that a contract expiring does not end employment; coaches who continue on with the Gamecocks would simply receive a new contract at a later date and pay could be made retroactive.

Luke Day (Strength and Conditioning): Contracted through 2023; $425,000 annual salary

Per their contracts, any coaches who are dismissed from the program while still under contract would be owed the remaining base salary left on the deal at the time of their departure.

On December 20, South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer was asked if his staff would remain the same heading into the 2024 season.

“Those are things that we’re continuing to look at and evaluate,” said Beamer, who is going into his fourth year at the program’s helm. “I’ve had some conversations with some people already and our focus this month has been recruiting. It’s my job as the head coach to always look at everything that we’re doing from top to bottom starting with me and if there’s ways to be better, certainly being willing to to make those decisions. Those are all things that we’re still going through.”
